To file a claim for a lost or damaged Badger shipment, submit the 'File a Claim' form under Operations in the Help Center.
Allow for the following transit times before submitting lost claim:
- Domestic ground: 21 days
- International ground: 45 days
Domestic shipping claims should be submitted no longer than 35 days from the original shipment date.
Carriers often reject claims of "delivered but not received", as shipment may have been stolen or mis-handled after successful / accurate delivery.
When available, Badger will request a refund for the shipping fee.
Claim decisions are typically made by the carrier within 10-15 business days.
Awarded claim amounts will automatically be credited to your billing invoice.
Clients are responsible for creating replacement orders in ecommerce store or Dashboard if needed (standard processing times apply).
Carrier Claim Form
Damage Photos: upload photos verifying damaged condition of shipment / contents. Required photos include: damaged products, packaging, and parcel shipping label.
Customer Correspondence: the carrier may require proof of correspondence from your customer, claiming lost or damaged shipment; copy and paste or upload emails / messages.
Invoice: carriers require an invoice verifying price of the claimed items. An invoice may be generated directly from your ecommerce store order page.
The invoice should be formatted PDF and list the following info: customer name, shipping address, order #, item descriptions, quantities, and sales prices ($ U.S.).

Customer Email: the carrier may contact your customer directly to sign and return an affidavit swearing lost or damaged shipment.
Carrier Limited Liability
Badger's shipping rates include carrier's standard limited liability coverage, meaning carriers are responsible for a certain amount of reimbursement for loss or damage, usually around $100 per package. Please visit the carrier website to learn more about their standard liability coverage. Badger does not offer additional shipping insurance.
