# Update an Order's Shipping Service (Dashboard)

### Overview

By default, shipment orders are rate shopped using standard **2–5 business day** ground shipping services unless a previously mapped express shipping option has been selected. 

If you need to expedite an individual order that was **not originally placed with an express shipping method**, you can update the shipping service in your Dashboard. This is commonly used to upgrade an order to **FedEx 2 Day** or **FedEx Standard Overnight**. 

The shipping service can be updated any time before the order reaches **Ready to Ship** status (before the shipping label has been generated).

### Update the Shipping Service

1. Navigate to **Dashboard → Fulfillment → Shipment Orders**.
2. Search for and select the **Order Code** you would like to update. Orders in **Ready to Ship** status can no longer be edited.

3. Open the **Shipping** tab.

   #### Standard Shipping (Default)
   
   To allow the system to rate shop standard **2–5 business day** shipping services, leave the following fields blank:
   
     - **Carrier**
     - **Shipping Service**
   
   Express Shipping
   
   To upgrade an order to an express service, select:
   
   **Carrier**
   
     - Badger FedEx - FedEx
   
   **Shipping Service**
   
     - FedEx 2 Day ($)
     - FedEx Standard Overnight ($$)
4. Select **Save Shipment Order**.

  Your shipment order has been updated with the selected shipping service. The specified carrier and service will be used when the shipping label is generated.
